Shazam, originally known as Captain Marvel, is a DC Comics superhero.
Created by C. C. Beck and Bill Parker, the character first appeared in Whiz Comics #2 (February 1940), published by Fawcett Comics. However the Comic-Con Exclusive SDCC 2012 version of the character is a LEGO minifigure available exclusively at SDCC.
The character is Billy Batson, a young boy who, by speaking the magic word "Shazam!", can transform into a powerful adult superhero with abilities granted by six legendary figures: Solomon (wisdom), Hercules (strength), Atlas (stamina), Zeus (power), Achilles (courage), and Mercury (speed).
